My dog, Gator, is a pit bull rescue. A lot of people are intimidated by the looks of him …
but looks can be deceiving.
My daughter recently adopted a basset hound named Remi.
So what happened when the two met?
Remi playfully went straight for Gator’s jugular.
Attack! So what did Gator do next?
He was calm and submissive …
literally allowing Remi to “walk all over him.”
Yep, looks can be deceiving.
My daughter (college sophomore) recently adopted a wrinkled, droopy, slobbering mess.
But is there anything cuter than a basset hound puppy?
As the saying goes … “If Momma ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy.” I’m sure this fledgling would agree.
Listen to the mustn’ts, child.
Listen to the don’ts.
Listen to the shouldn’ts,
Listen to the never haves,
then listen close to me …
Anything can happen, child.
Anything can be.
More photos from my recent attendance at a Native American Festival here in northeast Florida. The dancing children – trying to emulate their elders – always stole everyone’s hearts!
