Blue Hydrangea and a Persian Cat

Hydrangea are some of my favorite flowers as they remind me of my grandmother who used to grow them with ease – big, beautiful bushes with big, beautiful, blue blooms – standing guard by her front porch.

I’ve tried many times over the years to grow them in my front yard but with no luck. The intense Florida sun just wilts and withers them. The only way I can enjoy them is by growing them in containers and keeping them on my back screened-in-porch … in the shade, away from direct sunlight.

They may never grow into big, beautiful bushes but at least I (and my cat) can enjoy their beautiful, blue blooms.

You’ve heard of photo-bombing, no doubt. Well, here’s some shots of my Persian cat, Callie, photo-bombing my attempts at photographing my hydrangeas. She’s creating a new hybrid of flower — Persian Hydrangeas. 🙂
