Florida Bird Watching

A few weeks ago, I noticed a special visitor in my backyard …

And that got me to thinking – since I live in one of the best “birding” counties in my state, why not attempt to photograph every native (and migratory) bird known to live in (or pass through) the state of Florida? Needless to say, I had NO IDEA just how many types of birds live in this area! (Official estimates place it at over 500!)

So after discovering that little tidbit of information, I quickly decided to merely set up a backyard birdfeeder instead and to just enjoy my own backyard natives – however many (or few) species of bird that may be!
